Wando-gun is making remarkable achievements, such as winning an export agreement worth 5 million dollars at the International Fisheries Expo and signing a business agreement to expand sales channels to Southeast Asian countries.
According to Wando-gun, the county participated in the ‘2022 Busan International Fisheries Expo’, Asia’s three largest comprehensive fisheries exhibition, from the 2nd to the 5th, and three domestic companies signed an export agreement with a US and Taiwanese company for a total of 5.3 million dollars. revealed

The county operated a joint promotion hall with 7 local companies to promote and sell seafood products at the expo, and participated in a consultation meeting for domestic MDs, an export consultation meeting with overseas buyers, and a special sale on Naver Live broadcast.
In particular, three companies, including Wando Sarang S&F, Haesung International, and Haecheongjeong, signed three export agreements (total of $5.3 million) with companies in the United States and Taiwan. went in
The seven companies that participated in the operation of the joint promotion hall are Wando Sarang S&F, Haesung International, Haecheongjeong, Wando Segyero Fisheries, Wando Da Fisheries Corporation, Daehan Mulsan, and Nuri Abalone English Association Corporation.

Seven companies introduced processed abalone and seaweed products such as abalone fried rice, flatfish porridge, seaweed salad, abalone chowder, abalone gambas, seaweed noodles, abalone paste, and sliced abalone.
In addition to the joint pavilion, more than 15 local companies and organizations operated individual booths, sold live abalone at the Korea Abalone Industry Association, and promoted Wando seafood.
In addition, Wando-gun is entering into the Southeast Asian market in earnest by signing an agreement with a Southeast Asian country.
On the 4th, Wando-gun Office signed a business agreement with Haerim Fisheries Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Mi Group for smooth export of Wando aquatic products.
About 10 people attended the agreement ceremony, including Wando County Governor Shin Woo-cheol, Haerim Fisheries CEO Cha Young-sim, and Vietnamese American Group Chairman Dinh Minh.
Through the agreement, it was agreed that fishery products produced in the clean sea of Wando could be smoothly exported to Vietnam, and that they would actively cooperate with each other in promoting and selling Wando aquatic products in Vietnam.
Mi Group operates a number of high-end large seafood restaurants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and imported 1 billion won worth of aquatic products such as abalone, oysters and flatfish from Korea this year.

Meanwhile, on September 20, Haerim Fisheries and Vietnam Mi Group signed a contract to supply Wando abalone and flatfish worth 2 million dollars in 2023.
Wando County Governor Shin Woo-cheol said, “At a time when the Vietnamese market is growing rapidly and exports are increasing, we will actively publicize the excellence of Wando’s marine products to contribute to increasing exports.”
