Exporting abalone, flatfish, seaweed products to the US and Taiwan

Wando-gun operated a joint promotion hall with 7 local companies to promote and sell marine products at the expo, and participated in a consultation meeting for domestic MDs, an export consultation meeting with overseas buyers, and a special sale on Naver Live broadcast.

In particular, three companies, Wando Sarang S&F, Haesung International, and Haecheongjeong, signed three export agreements (total value of 5.3 million dollars) with companies in the US and Taiwan, and are negotiating so that abalone, flatfish, and processed seaweed products can be exported within this year. went in

The seven companies that participated in the operation of the joint promotion hall are Wando Sarang S&F, Haesung International, Haecheongjeong, Wando Segyero Fisheries, Wando Da Fisheries Corporation, Daehan Mulsan, and Nuri Abalone English Association Corporation. Seven companies introduced processed abalone and seaweed products such as abalone fried rice, flatfish porridge, seaweed salad, abalone chowder, abalone gambas, seaweed noodles, abalone paste, and sliced abalone.

In addition to the joint pavilion, more than 15 companies and organizations in the area operated individual booths, sold live abalone at the Korea Abalone Industry Association, and promoted Wando seafood.

Wando abalone grown on kelp and seaweed grown in the clean sea is rich in various vitamins, iron, calcium, potassium, and protein, so it is called the ‘wild ginseng of the sea’ and is considered the best health food. In addition, the results of a study showing that abalone intestines and seaweed extracts are effective in inhibiting the proliferation of the Corona 19 virus were published in Marine Drugs, a world-renowned journal in the field of marine medicine.

Meanwhile, the Busan International Fisheries Expo is a venue for business opportunities such as export through exchanges with domestic and foreign fisheries buyers, experts, and distribution officials, and Wando-gun participates every year. An official from Wando-gun said, “We will continue to do our best to promote the products of our county’s excellent export companies and contribute to the increase in export performance through participation in and support for international fairs.”
